The SHBC Torpids 2011 campaign was largely a success with some brilliant moments. M1 overall dropped a place to second in Div III but M2's campaign was a resounding success. The M2 crew rose 8 places from 2nd in Div VI to 6th in Div V. This is the highest position that M2 have reached since men began to row for St Hugh's. Another notable moment during the campaign was the W1 Somerville bump. After having to row the entire course it was one of the most exciting bumps of our campaign as W1 bumped Somerville on the finish line.

The SHBC Summer Eights campaign 2011 was a mixed bag, varying across the 2 sides of the boat club. Congratulations to both M1 and M2 who had very successful campaigns. M1 bumped on all 4 days to win blades and M2 just missed out, having bumped on 3 of the 4 days of racing and moving up from Div VII to Div VI on the last day of racing. Unfortunately, W1 received spoons in this campaign but we must give thanks to both the captains (Kayti Draper and Rebecca Smith) and the crew who all work tirelessly throughout the term.
