Vice-President
Emma Sadler ([email protected])
I've just finished a DPhil in biophysics and now I'm a postdoc in biochemistry which makes me nearly a real grown-up. As VP I'm charge of making sure everyone is staying safe while they're (hopefully!) having fun rowing, which includes things like swim/capsize test registration, squaring things with the EA, and restocking the first aid kit. I've been around for a few years, so I can often answer any other questions you have, or at least know who to pass you on to! I also row with City of Oxford RC, so I have to navigate both the town and gown viewpoint... Finally, I have an addiction to sculling, so I'm happy to give advice about that beyond filling in the forms.
Description: As well as assisting the President, the VP is also responsible for welfare, health and safety. They also have to organise umpiring, marshalling, briefing meetings and attend OURCs health and safety meetings.
