Nephthys Regatta 2012
The warm-up event for Christ Church Regatta, this event is held every year on the week before and proves valuable practice for competing novice crews. Like Christ Church, it's a short side-by-side event, and was held throughout the Saturday. It was a fantastic day of racing, with one of our women's novice VIIIs reaching the semi-finals, and the other putting in a solid effort in their early race. Sadly our men's novice crews were both eliminated due to equipment failures early on, but they were very strong and Christ Church Regatta looks set to be interesting. Our senior men's IV went against all the odds to take out Brasenose MA in the first round, which is a massive victory over what is essentially the middle 4 from Brasenose's division 2 M1 crew. Sadly they really emptied the tanks in that race and didn't have the energy to beat Trinity MA (who later went on to win) in the second race less than half an hour later. Photos now available here.
